Shameless Re-Posting
I can't be a rocket surgeon today so here is a shameless re-posting.
My boss is not in the office today so I'll just be posting a bunch of links because let's be honest, I won't be doing much work today.

Sex
Got your attention?
Read the above article if you want...can you not read it? I'm willing to bet that every damn person clicks the link. Like a big red button that says "Do Not Push". Or a set of numbers to be entered into a computer every hour or something crazy happens but you have no idea what?...are you LOST!
I doubt you will read any further now but here is a great recipe from Everyday Paleo for a Southwestern Frittata. I had this recipe once when I lived in Denver and have been craving it for over a year. It is an awesome twist on just plain old eggs. You can literally take the foundation for this recipe and make it anything you want, a Garbage Frittata of crazy veggies.
I take no credit for this one. Sarah from Everyday Paleo is a great resource for recipes and perspective on raising kids to eat Paleo.

Southwestern Frittata
1tablespoon coconut oil
1/4 cup yellow onion, finely diced
1 small jalapeno, seeds removed and minced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup sweet potato, peeled and grated
1 pound grass fed ground beef (check out the grass fed beef from Tropical Traditions, just tried it for the first time and YUM!!)
1 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 cup salsa verde (I used Trader Joe’s Salsa Verde)
12 eggs
Sea Salt to taste
Preheat oven to 350. In a large saute pan, saute the onions and minced jalapeno in the coconut oil over medium heat until the onions are translucent. Add the ground beef and cook just until it starts to brown and add the grated sweet potato and garlic. Cook until the beef is completely browned and the sweet potato is soft. Add the chili powder, cumin, and salsa, stir and cook until heated through. Taste and season with a little sea salt if desired. Transfer the meat mixture to a 11×7 glass baking dish and spread the meat mixture evenly over the bottom of the pan. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the 12 eggs add pour over the meat mixture in the baking dish. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the eggs are set in the middle when you jiggle the pan.
Enjoy!

Has the 26 Fuel Fix ended?
Life after 26 days
http://www.robbwolf.com/2012/02/02/8204/
http://whole9life.com/2010/06/life-after-whole30/
I'm still going strong, well I had some delicious buttermilk pancakes for Brett's birthday brunch. An awesome restaurant and they tasted unreal! Felt bad the rest of the day, can anyone say dutch oven? Pull my finger? Don't go in there for about 30-45 minutes!
I have eaten Paleo for almost every meal since the first time I tried it for thirty days almost 2 years ago. Every time I don't eat a Paleo meal I get back on it right away. Why might you ask? Because I've never looked felt and performed better. My ADD symptoms are drastically reduced. I have more energy (especially when I eat more fats). I am healthy. I f-ing like it! It's actually made life easier for me. E told me the other day that she remembers when I started CrossFit and basically called me pudgy. 100% of how I look today is due to how I eat.
When I tried Paleo for 30 days I didn't think it would have such an impact. I've stuck with it and with much nagging my parents tried it. Now my sister is all Paleo. One by one my aunts/uncles/cousins call my mom wanting to know how they can do it. Why? Because combined my parents have lost around 70lbs. My sister was off her blood pressure medication after 3 weeks and she is 34 years old! Why the F did she need blood pressure meds at 34?
I'd love to hear some blog posts and comments on your experiences. No pressure. I have seen and heard of a few successes from folks. Sleeping better, recovering from WOD's easier, lost weight, more muslces! Diogo looks shredded!
Didn't have all the results you desired. Don't get discouraged. Why do you think there is no quick pill? or 30 days? or Buy 1 Get a Small Gut Free? Because there is is no quick fix. Keep going, relax and enjoy it.
The questions don't have to stop, the answer will keep coming!

Prepare like a Ninja
"One cannot embark on the path of enlightenment all at once.
Development of the mind can be achieved only when the body has been prepared."
In other words...FIX YOUR FUEL!
Snippets of a recent CB radio conversation I had with some chick.
I cooked all this meat on Sunday. I ate the last of it for lunch on Thursday. I might have had a dinner in there too but for the most part I ate this for lunch. K.I.S.S., you get it right?
I had some delicious meat seasoned 4 different ways for variety with a bag of veggies and some clarified butter all week long. I made my life easier.

- Olivia Wilde: Breaker 26 can I get a radio check? Over.
- Tr: Copy, loud and clear. kerrrcch.
- Olivia Wilde: I don't have time to do this Paleo thing kerrrcch, I have to cook every meal it seems like and it sucks. I never have time.
- Tr: Copy that, it can be a wicked adjustment. kerrrcch. Maybe try to prep to make life easier. kerrrcch. K.I.S.S. kerrrcch.
- Olivia Wilde: kerrrcch. What's K.I.S.S.?
- Tr: Keep It Simple Stupid! kerrrcch.
- Olivia Wilde: You sound hot. kerrrcch.
- Tr: I am. kerrrcch.

Sunbutter and not the kind you rub on your body!
| In my fridge |
| Ingredients: Roasted Sunflower Kernel Seeds, Sea Salt |
So what do you think of the ingredients? Pretty clean.
Sunflower seeds are a good source of vitamin E, thiamin, magnesium, copper, manganese and selenium but they are high in polyunsaturated fats (as most nuts are) and high in Omega 6 fats.
- "In an effort to optimize health and longevity, one should strive to keep a total PUFA intake under 4% of total calories and an omega-6/omega-3 ratio very close to 1:1." http://goo.gl/apmEo (reference article, thanks Paleo Diet Lifestyle)
I eat nuts, two brazil nuts every morning to supplement selenium. The occasional spoon of sunflower seed butter when I'm feeling crazy and am showing off to people. Then I rub it all over my face touting the health benefits of nut butter. Yes, someone can post a disgusting joke to comments!
Bad Sunbutters:
![]() |
| Ingredients: Sunflower Seed, Sugar, Mono-Diglycerides to prevent separation, Salt, and Natural Mixed Tocopherols to preserve freshness. |
Now Sunbutter does make an Organic Unsweetened version of their Sunbutter where the only ingredient is Sunflower Seeds but you will have to order it. http://www.sunbutter.com/products-organic.php
The one I purchased I was able to find at Whole Foods. I'm cool with a little bit of added salt especially because I don't eat any processed foods.
Back to work.
